Two Bucks brings big flavors for a small price
The newly-opened Two Bucks restaurant and bar on Detroit Road in Avon isn't just a great place for delicious eats and cheap drinks-- it's a no-brainer destination for nighttime fun.
"We were looking for something unique, simple and affordable," said Two Bucks co-owner Eric Nugent. "Something for people that don't want to get gouged, but still want good-quality food."
The atmosphere at Two Bucks is the perfect balance of relaxed and chic; The ideal destination for lunch or dinner with your family or a nighttime martini meeting with your pals. (And trust me, with a $5 martini menu, it's easy to have one (or two) too many.)
Two Bucks' bar is fully-stocked with all of your favorite liquors and beers, too. At just $2 a pop, a night on the town just became affordable again. The wine list, which features several local varietals, features glasses that are just $5 each.
If Babe Ruth was the king of baseball, then Two Bucks is the king of gourmet sliders at incredible prices. The meat of Two Bucks' menu revolves around these little powerhouses of what Nugent calls "sexy deliciousness." Nearly a dozen of the tiny taste bud tantalizers are available on Two Bucks' menu, which features much-loved classics like the Jack Daniels Barbecue Bacon Burger, Avon Cheese Steak and Buffalo Chicken with Ranch, alongside innovative soon-to-be-favorites like the Sesame Chicken with Asian Slaw, Two Buck Veggie with Basil Provolone and Two Buck Bacon Grilled Cheese with Pepperjack. The sliders are served in threes for just $6 (add a buck if you want to mix and match slider varieties).
In addition to mouth-watering sliders, the sides (Snacks) menu features delicious items like gourmet macaroni and cheese, sage and garlic fries, and beer-battered pickles; All are just $2 each. Other snack items include an antipasto basket with polenta-battered sausage chunks, mozzarella cheese and asparagus with spicy marinara dipping sauce and breaded calamari with Siracha aioli.
If sliders aren't your style, don't feel left out. Two Bucks $5 flatbreads, salads and wraps are sure to please. Try the Avon flatbread, which features ham, bacon, sausage and provolone with marinara; the Adobo Pork Wrap with chipotle mole and roasted corn salsa; or the Wedge Salad, which features egg, bacon, tomato and blue cheese with raspberry vinaigrette.
Two Bucks is kid-friendly 'til about 10 p.m., which is excellent considering that kids love the perfectly-sized sliders and sage-garlic fries.
Nugent says that the menu is popular among guests of all ages.
"We've received an excellent reception from the City of Avon, and from customers from kids to senior citizens," said Nugent. "The menu is popular with all demographics."

A downloadable jukebox is on-site, providing restaurant-goers with more than 135,000 tunes of their choice. From Hannah Montana to heavy metal, the music genres are as individual as the customers.
Nugent, who owns Two Bucks with his brother Sean and cousin Cory, said that they'll be partnering with local businesses and the Avon Crushers minor league baseball team for upcoming events and promotions.
"We'd like to sponsor a kids' t-ball or soccer team," said Nugent. "We want to support kids because they love our sliders and we want to give back to the community."
